Duke Chronicles will continue tomorrow, hopefully they will be last of the “Broken Leg” series.
Heard a radio interview with Barry Manalow this weekend, which inspired me to list my top 5 CD’s that everyone owns (or should own) but doesn’t want to admit to.
- Barry Manalow – Greatest Hits
- Journey – Greatest Hits
- Bee Gee’s – Greatest Hits
(ok well I really only have 3 “must have’s”, so the last two are flexible – feel free to talk amongst yourselves)
- MC Hammer/Vanilla Ice Back to Back Hits – a cheap $10 greatest hits kinda compilation of both these ass clowns on one CD
(great for regressing back to “the day” when parachute pants and fades were awesome!)
- Boy George – At worst, the Best of Boy George & the Culture Club.
(he is so underrated! – buy it!)

While those apply to both genders, you need to include male specific CD's, because we're the first to deny we have them.
1) Top Gun, Motion Picture Soundtrack. Sure we claim it's just for "Danger Zone" but we don't fast forward when it hits "Take My Breath Away"
2) Dirty Dancing, Motion Picture Soundtrack. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" but look in my corner, and you'll find this CD hidden. Johnny Castle was the man, and she truely is, like the wind.
3) Backstreet Boys, Greatest Hits. We know all the words, but if you catch us singing along we will disavow all knowledge of knowing the band even exists.
4) Any Britney Spears CD. I just buy them for the pictures...riiiiiight.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll root through my CD's later and find some more.
I will have to say that I forgot about Kenny Loggins. I too almost fell victum to the Top Gun Soundtrack. At the same time I also wanted to buy the Footloose soundtrack and realized that all the songs I liked were Kenny Loggins, so I bought his Greatest Hits Album.
APPROVED: Kenny Loggin's Greatest Hits
APPROVED: Britney Spears
APPROVED: BSB (but that is stretching it, might as well say that you can admit to buying NKOTB also)
APPROVED: Dirty Dancing (a classic album, that I don't own.)
BTW: I do own ALL of the NKOTB Cd's - even the Christmas Album (which you can't buy anymore - thanks Jerri!) and the NKOTB Face the Music (horrible, horrible, I am full of shame)
Just admitting that you have NKOTB CDs (and I do...) is a big step, but are you willing to admit who was your favorite New Kid? That's something I wouldn't cop to until VH1 tried to re-unite them a month or so ago. And frankly, I think I may have a new favorite now. ;-) See ya later! --Elaine
JOEY! JOEY is my fave and I will do anything to see him succede in life! My next mission is to break up his marriage and marry him myself! Now that would be an interesting interview- Shannon & Joey McIntyre, maybe I can end up making out with him under the radio table also! hehe... BTW, very disapointed in Donny AND Danny in that whole reuniting the band thing. VERY upset. I can see where they are coming from, but hey, millions of screaming 20 some year olds would die to see you again!
