"It’s the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America."
Not one President, except for fictional ones, has sent shivers down my spine. When I heard this clip this morning on the radio I cried tears of joy because change has defiently come to the United States of America.

Another Lame Superbowl 1/2 time show
Last night I was watching "classic" VH1 and a Bruce Springstein concert was on; and I thought to myself... "gee... I hope he doesn't play the halftime show this year becuase that could be almost as lame as the Tom Petty one last year."
Aparently I jinxed myself. Earlier this morning NBC announced that "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at the 2009 Super Bowl halftime show in Tampa, Fla."
-big sigh-
Now... while I do love "The Boss" and he imbodies the "all-american" hard working middle class... could we PLEASE PLEASE PLESE get a rock-n-roll band that isn't on Medicaid?
Ever since 2004 when MTV lost the rights to produce any further half-time shows, it has been one geratic rock-n-roll band after another. Lets recap:
2005 - Paul McCartney
2006 - The Rolling Stones
2007 - Prince
2008 - Tom Petty
2009 - Bruce Springsteen
*All Produced by Don Mischer Productions andWhite Cherry Entertainment*
How about a walk down memory lane to the 2000 - 2004 shows
2000 - Phil Collins, Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton
(Produced by Disney)
2001 - The Kings of Rock and Pop: Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock (pre-recorded intro skit) Aerosmith, 'N Sync, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Nelly
(Produced by MTV)
2002 - U2 w/ 911 tribute
(Produced by CLEAR Channel)
2003 - Shania Twain, No Doubt, Sting
(Produced by Jimmy Iovine and Joel Gallen)
2004 - Jessica Simpson with University of Houston and Texas Southern bands, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, P. Diddy, Kid Rock
(Produced by MTV)
(Thanks Wiki)
Can we please go abck to the way things were? Becuase of MTV's lack of judgement in 2004, we have all take a 20 yr backstep in halftime shows. In the 80's they were one band and LAME. In the last half of the 2000's, they are one band and LAME.
Please help.. someone...
